DO NOT WANTS: No sexual content (UNLESS it is discussing sexual abuse, and only at the level of the victim's feelings and perspective on it, but i doubt that'll come up lol), no transphobia, no homophobia.
THINGS THAT ARE FINE: discussions of CSA/SA, emo shit, dumb shit, funny shit, AUs (even silly tropey ones), character studies, violence/gore (i love frankenstein's monster depictions of characters, held together by literal seams haha), so on and so forth. I am a goose.
Umineko
Yasu is my favorite character and I love every facet of her characters. While I'm fond of some shopping, what I tend to prefer is character studies with her. I parse Sayo as trans, insofar as she was born intersex, assigned male, and then reassigned female - but not informed of any aspect of her life and history. I don't think she would take on that identity as her own due to how disconnected she was from the world, but I love trans and gender fic. I love Sayo Yasuda and Lambda, prior to the "birth" of her as an endless witch and after. They have a fascinating relationship. I like Jessica/Sayo the most of any potential ships.
I also like AUs - things like the events of the island not happening, or modern AUs with silly settings are great. An explicitly supernatural au would also be cool. I have a specific au thought I think about all the time where instead of telling Sayo about the truth of the epitaph and her father, genji instead opts to send her to an actual high school. St. Lucia. The massacre still happens, but this time, Sayo is alive and left with the horrific realization of what happened. Then she goes on a road trip to kill Eva Ushiromiya (and maybe satoko is there lol you don't have to do that). Just things. Know I love Sayo so pretty much anything focused on her is awesome.
Higurashi
Satoko and Rika are my favorite characters. As a note about me, I loved Higurashi GouSotsu, so my preferred Satoko characterization is based on the anime. If you have not watched GouSotsu OR don't like it, please feel free to focus on the LN characterization. I like AUs, supernatural, alternative aus, all the like. I don't like SatoRika being super lovey lovey, I like it being complicated and kind of messy. Anything in canon of the LNs, in canon of the anime, or post canon is great for me.
I like Rena/Shion, I'm fine about Keiichi and Satoshi but eh. I would also enjoy character study fic about Satoko, Rika, Shion, or Rena - they are all beloved by me. I love explorations of mental illness with them, especially in the context of Japan's poor treatment of mental illness. I love alternate loop ideas for both the LN and anime, like different people involved or different people infected. I love the idea of Rika being infected, even. I love the idea of fics about Rika learning the rules in her early loops, back when she could loop further back - because Satoko wouldn't have been alive the first time around, due to it being Rika 'knowing' the brain surgery experiment on her would be the thing to save Satoko from dying of the virus. I'm interested in things that Rika has been trying to influence, even as she's been losing her time. Interested in Rika struggling and realizing she cannot save her mother and father, cannot change the fate of those who die, and more. I think that's super interesting.
In that same breath, I'm super invested in fics about Satoko and her trauma and the complexity of it. I love her. I also love her being funny or petty.
Utena
Hello I love this show.
I love Utena/Anthy, but I ALSO love Anthy/Wakaba and Anthy/Nanami. I love fic about Anthy's trauma, I love horribly depressing fic even (as in i literally wrote a miserable fic about anthy and sexual abuse, i am that level of invested and sad about her at all times). I love the movie canon and exploration within that realm, too. Nanami in the movie-verse would be a cool fic idea. I'd love Juri/Nanami as well, I think it has very cute potential in the long term.
I love fic about Utena and Anthy dealing with the hard parts of relationships and ultimately coming together in the end.
I love analysis and character study fic.
